Upon reading more of the thread - I misunderstood this a bit. I think to earn the additional star badge the picture/ID need to also match the persona that the profile itself is presenting. Likewise, if it is a couple's account - both IDs/pictures should match the media being presented. If someone doesn't want their likeness up, that's fine, they just wouldn't get the star badge.
