"Bavarian Cream" reminds me of when Harvey Korman played a man turned into a werewolf on Carol Burnett's show. Vicki Lawrence's hag provided a "Bawarian Cream" pie to kill him off if he turned in a "verevolf".
Yes, pieing a boxer has 2 great advantages to me (though I have yet to do it to anyone): 1) The boxer is shirtless, which I love; 2) The boxer can't wipe off the gunge w/o punching himself w/ his gloves. ;)
Even better, Gilligan pulled off his shirt afterward and stayed shirtless for the rest of the episode. Bob Denver told a story in his book GILLIGAN MAYNARD & ME about this scene. He said on a 2nd take he held his breath and stayed under awhile, hoping the crew would try to rescue him. The crew didn't fall for his trick though, telling him he'd already pulled the stunt in the lagoon too many times.
The full series may be available in bargain bins still. That's how I got my copy, though I haven't watched it yet. I saw the bits I described on tv back in 1988/1989, when it was on tv.
This reminds me of a bit from a CBS Saturday morning kids' show called HEY VERN IT'S ERNEST, starring Jim Varney as his character Ernest P. Worrell. In a recurring bit, an actor played Ernest's tongue as Ernest put various things in his mouth. Once Ernest was eating peanut butter, so a large spoon upside down was run over the actor's face, covering a lot of it. Another bit that wasn't as messy had a popsicle run against the tongue.
I took this pic more than 20 years ago when I met this man in person as he was visiting my area. I'm not sure if he's still active in gunge, but he did some great work while involved.
Is this Walter or Leo receiving the creaming here? Walter is usually creamed first & more, but I've rarely seen pics of Leo being creamed, mostly having been creamed.
