Lily growing in the swamps is a very beautiful flower of bright pink color. Some people believe that whoever finds this flower will fulfill any of his desires, and girls can find eternal beauty and youth. However, there is an opinion that these flowers grow too close to a dangerous bog, and you should not try to find them. Some say they have heard the call of the swamp mermaids. They grow these flowers to trap young girls and then turn them into new mermaids. The deepest quagmire is ready to swallow anyone who succumbs to the call and goes too far.

But Angel does not believe in fairy tales and superstitions, so one day she went to the swamp to look for lilies. Although she did not believe in mermaids, she should have known about the dangers of moving through the swamp. But Angel so wanted to collect a large beautiful bouquet that she was too carried away by picking flowers and lost her vigilance. Seeing the largest flower, she went straight to him through the mud, not thinking about a safe path. Angel took step by step closer to her goal, her legs got stuck deeper and deeper in the mud, and at one moment she did not feel the bottom under her.

Only now realizing the danger, Angel began to struggle and wallow in deep quicksand, trying to get out. She tried to reach grass or branches with her hands, but it was too far to the solid ground, there was nothing to grab onto around her. At some point, Angel was able to rise above the surface, but this only drained her strength. So, she could only gradually sink deeper and deeper, to no avail resisting the sinking. The mud has reached her head, and now she is desperately floundering in the bog, moving her arms erratically, diving and surfacing. Angel emerges from the mud several times in a row, but each time quicksand sucks her back. In the end, she completely disappeared into the depths of this bottomless quagmire.
