My white Dainese T-age racing suit needed a good soaking in the shower. I heard wearing leather racing suits in the shower is the best way to clean them, in my case I needed to wash 20 years worth of dust out of it--sadly the foam inside had deteriorated over the years into a dust. Another great piece of advice I heard is to wear the suit with nothing on underneath. It is truly the best way to wear the suit especially when drenched--the suit clung to my body like a big warm hug. Also one cannot forget the very convenient and well-known crotch zipper of the T-age suit design. Since I was there in the suit, cleaning it in the shower, I'd might as well have some fun in it.
