From summer 2019, I visit a peat bog up in the hills. Wearing my red swim trunks, I get right in to the bog and move around with a swim/crawl motion until I find some enjoyably sloppy spots to sink and wallow around in. The mud is less smooth and coating than my favourite tidal places, but playing around in the deep, warm peat mud with the marsh gas bubbling up around me was still a lot of fun.
