After seeing pictures for years, I traveled to the smallest island, Espalmador, in the Balearics, off the east coast of Spain. The sulfurous smell and abrasive salt crystals couldn't stop my appetite to sink under this thick, slimy, gloppy mud. I wallow around a bit and then dunk my head, while holding the camera for a close-up view. Bucket list check!
