The tidal mud I've played in had a very high clay content, like this one, which makes it fun to waddle in and to get stuck in. Only problem - it wasn't very secluded, but rather quite close to a very popular ocean beach :-/. Still, it was really fun to do, and quite memorable.

I love walking in plowed fields in the springtime after they have thawed. Great, deep, sticky, clingy mud caked on my boots. It is also fun in pillowed fields after a rain.
