Two years ago, The Mess Factory broke open and fell apart. It was time for a pause ~ and as I shared two years ago ~ I had no idea what The Mess Factory would look like on the other side.
Now, here we are! I've arrived to the other side. Allow me to (re)introduce myself:
I'm now going by Dusty! [bye bye, Darla]
I'm currently developing a practice of eco-sploshing. It's an experimental practice that asks: how can my sploshing eco-system support the eco-system in which I live? Where can I source waste in my local community ~ to splosh in & to build with? How can I deal with my own waste in regenerative ways? It's been slow, unpredictable, and has asked me to listen deeply.
So far this looks like experimenting with compostable-mess-recipes, building compost bins to compost the mess that I splosh in, researching alternative composting systems, digging a mud pit in my back yard and making bricks out of the mud.
Mess Ritual is my container for this research: think less factory, more ritual.
As I compost The Mess Factory, I continue to honor my time spent on that project, integrate the valuable lessons that arrived on its path, and cherish all of the beautiful connections and memories made during that chapter of my life. It's an honor to arrive at this moment and to be able to reconnect with you all.
I'm posting my eco-sploshing experiments/adventures on Instagram: @_______messritual_______
my new contact email is: messritual @ protonmail.com
& I'm also now on Fansly, where I'll be posting the dirty bits I can't share on Insta https://fansly.com/messritual
I'm still not taking custom orders or doing live streams, as I'm truly in the middle of becoming my next form. The rest will continue to unfold!
Join me as I compost myself, again & again,
Dusty
