In this scene I have piled 20 gallons of mega thick clay into a sticky gooey mound. Just right for a massive head dunk. It's so thick its hard to pull my head out to catch my breath.
I know how nice this feels. Isn't it a shame that one cannot breathe when smothered in this thick clay? I can usually hold my breath for over a minute, but not when I am excited and that happens unavoidably when sinking completely in clay, mud, cow barn slurry or bread dough.
Prices are from Sheffield Pottery:
I use 1 part Redart to 2 parts C&C.
You can also substitute OM4 in place of C&C. Add in 2 gallons of water per bag. You can always add more water if too thick. I used around 6 bags. Left out some dry clay to add to make it thicker. Made 4 five gallon buckets.
Redart Ball Clay - $19.50 per 50lb bag dry clay.
C&C Ball Clay $14.50 per 50lb bag dry clay.
Kentucky OM4 (Old Mine #4) $17.50 per 50lb dry clay.
