My first compostable slime experiment was a sploshing success y'all! The mess was divine. It was so sloppy and full of texture--such a treat! The compostable slime was made out of: homemade avocado dye, honey and psyllium husk powder. The apron was found in a free pile the day before my mess. The rest of the mess was made of food scraps (cantaloupe, spaghetti squash, berries, avocado, tomatoes and sprouts) that a friend collected for me at the local co-op. Food that was considered to be waste and ready to be disposed of was transformed into fruit/veggie smoothies for my pleasure instead. As the lessons continue to unfold, I am grateful that my sense of urgency was challenged and my body led the way. Next stop--composting this slop!
